| DIVISION CHIEF, PEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS Hershey, PA Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State Children’s Hospital invites applications and nominations for the position of Division Chief, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized academic leader with a substantial record of leadership, clinical and administrative accomplishments, education scholarship and/or research productivity and teaching experience. We are seeking candidates with prior administrative and leadership experience gained within a Department of Pediatrics, strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, manage, mentor and develop faculty and staff. Candidates must hold the degree of MD, DO, or equivalent, or MD/PhD, be Board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and possess qualifications for appointment. - The division has an accredited Pediatric Hem/Onc Fellowship Program and is an active member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutics Investigators’ Consortium (POETIC) and the Beat Child Cancer (BCC) consortium.
- Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is one of the largest divisions in the Department of Pediatrics with 14 Pediatric Hematologists/Oncologists, 2 of whom hold endowed Chair appointments, 5 Ph.D. faculty, and 6 Advanced Practice Nurses.
- The division has programs in pediatric stem cell transplantation, experimental therapeutics, neuro-oncology, AYA oncology, and survivorship.
- The Division has been recognized by US News and World Report as one of the leading pediatric oncology programs in the country since 2012.
