| RWJBarnabas Health and Children’s Specialized Hospital are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for Employment in NJ RWJBarnabas Health is currently seeking a full-time pediatric hospitalist to support services at the Children's Specialized Hospital in NJ. This new role is designed to assist in transition of care from Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation to Pediatric Long Term Care and to facilitate primary care for our patients in these settings. This position is a unique inpatient role with flexibility on schedule and strong compensation and benefits. Primarily located in Northern NJ, this position provides easy access to tri-state area locations including New York City and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. - Support inpatient needs and long term care services primarily in Mountainside, NJ with support in Toms River, NJ as well
- Provide supervision and clinical mentorship for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
- Involvement with program development, medical oversight of the Long Term Care Unit, and educational initiatives with clinical staff
- Potential future leadership opportunities available
Candidate requirements: - Board-certified in pediatrics
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
- Passion for caring for children with complex medical needs
- 1-3 years of prior hospitalist/acute inpatient experience is desirable, as is additional fellowship training in critical care
