Hospital for Special Care (HSC) is the nation’s only specialty hospital serving adults and children across the spectrum of complex care and rehabilitation. We are the 4th largest specialty hospital in the country. We seek a Chief of Pediatrics due to pending retirement. The Chief of Pediatrics will:
Provide leadership and medical expertise for our pediatric programs and services including our 30-bed inpatient unit serving patients from birth to 18 years in need of rehabilitation and/or complex care, our 10-bed inpatient autism unit, and our outpatient autism clinic.
Enjoy a full-time schedule Mon-Fri; call of 1:4 taken from home is relatively light.
Direct patient care and act as consulting physician in developmental pediatric medicine.
Attend as physician of record for pediatric patients admitted to Hospital for Special Care and selected outpatients. Outpatient clinic optional.
Enjoy support and opportunity for research, though not a requirement of the position. Qualified candidates can apply for clinical academic appointments at nationally recognized medical schools if desired.
