Seeking a creative physician with public health background and interest in improving community health, to work with staff and the community on designated priority projects, applying knowledge of general medicine, preventive medicine, and community and public health issues to enhance understanding of key health issues; and to design, evaluate, manage, improve, and promote the most effective health services and other interventions for residents of the Health District.
The focus is on assuring the provision of targeted, high-quality, evidence-based health care services. The Medical Director generally does not provide direct medical care, but provides oversight for clinical services, and is the Director in charge of the Integrated Care Program; the Assessment, Research, and Program Evaluation team; and the Health Promotion program. The position also leads research and program evaluation activities, and provides medical and public health expertise to a variety of other projects and initiatives. Positive, productive collaboration with staff, providers, other agencies and organizations, academic leaders, contractors, and community members is essential.
Starting Salary: $180,000 - $194,000 per year DOQ
