Rhode Island's largest subspecialty practice in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus is looking to add a third fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologist for a short term or permanent position.
We have two fully equipped offices customized for pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus practice. Both offices have optical dispensaries.
We see between 8,000 to 9,000 patients per year and carry out 350+ surgeries annually.
We carry out ROP coverage of a busy NICU 19 weeks of the year on a contractual basis. The hospital provides excellent ancillary support for the ROP screening and treatment and ensures careful patient follow up.
The surgeon would be eligible for a clinical faculty appointment at the Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School and resident teaching at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital's Ophthalmology Residency.
Located one hour from Boston and three hours from New York, Rhode Island has everything: James Beard award winning restaurants, top universities and the best of New England culture. By some calculations, Rhode Island has more coast-line than California, with sailing, kayaking and incredible beaches on Narragansett Bay.
We will be available to meet at the Chicago 2018 AAO.
Fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at an approved AAPOS fellowship. The candidate must be ABO certified or eligible.
