Providence is calling a Pharmacist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide pharmaceutical care to Providence Newberg Hospital patients.
In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, assume responsibility for all aspects of the pharmacy including purchasing, storing, dispensing and controlling all medications and maintaining appropriate records.
Be routinely involved with a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes and must use appropriate measures and protective equipment (tasks and protective equipment are listed in the department Infection Control Manual) in accordance with the hospital's OR-OSHA blood borne pathogen regulations.
Be responsible for the assessment, treatment, or care of patients of all ages including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Consequently the employee should demonstrate an understanding of the development and range of treatment needs for each patient.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy
Licensed to practice in Oregon
Ability to read and understand hospital documents including medical terminology
Ability to enter information into computer
Ability to write legibly
Must have basic math skills including calculating percentage mark-up
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced degree, previous hospital pharmacy experience, or residency training
