Hospice & Palliative CareCenter is seeking a fulltime physician to join our compassionate and dedicated Medical Staff Services team. As both the oldest and one of the largest hospice organizations in North Carolina, Hospice and Palliative CareCenter has been dedicated to providing exceptional end of life care since 1979. The Hospice Physician will primarily provide inpatient hospice care in the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. This opportunity may also allow you to practice the full scope of hospice and palliative care such as home hospice care, outpatient palliative care and clinical support to the IDT. Opportunities may also exist to assist with community outreach and educational activities related to hospice and palliative medicine.
Responsibilities: Provide compassionate medical care to all patients, including but not limited to pain and symptom management, admissions/eligibility review, face to face visits, chart review, QAPI and research activities in collaborative practice with the Medical Staff Services department. Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in medical practice. Hospice experience required. Board certified in own specialty area. Board certified in hospice and palliative medicine strongly preferred. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills with team oriented approach and a dedication to providing compassionate end of life care for the communities we serve.
