JOB DUTIES: The Sonographer III demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the management of diagnostic testing in the field of Obstetrics or Maternal Fetal Medicine. Demonstrates focused critical thinking, integrates multi-system implications and provides anticipatory observation and management for predictable events. The Sonographer III demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration and an outcome-oriented approach to care.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years of OB experience or 2 years Maternal Fetal experience required. *Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping. *Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care. *Physical ability to perform all aspects of diagnostic testing, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult. *Read/write/speak and understand English. *Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide diagnostic care. *Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff. *Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: RDMS OB/GYN Registry required. NT certification required.
